compress and soak the boil in lukewarm water. This will help relieve pain and
draw pus to the surface. Once the boiling peaks, repeated soaking will crack
it. You can make a warm compress by soaking a washcloth in warm water and

clean it with rubbing alcohol. Apply a medicated ointment (local antibiotic)

compresses until the wound heals. Do not pop a boil with a needle. This can
make the infection worse.

does pass, cultures can be done to identify the type of bacteria causing the
infection and to determine if the appropriate antibiotics have been given.
